Definitely will take lessons again!
My son had a surfing lesson with Mary. She is wonderful, very thorough, thoughtful, best of all my son had a lot of fun. He was able to pop up a couple times. Definitely will take lessons with her again!

Can’t wait to get back…
We had the best experience with Girl in the Curl Surf Shop this week! Todd completely saved us -- he actually picked up the phone (four minutes before closing), and provided helpful and accurate information regarding wetsuits for my two daughters, which by the way were needed for the following day. He was happy to give us a direct number so we could follow up about the suits, after hours; met us the following morning; and provided the kindest and most gracious customer service. He was so incredibly helpful and encouraging to two budding little surfers.

Surfing success at the first lesson
As an adult surfing for the first time, I didn’t expect my lesson to be very successful. Mary, however; changed me forever! She was such a great instructor, making sure to teach me the foundation, safety, and the philosophy of surfing. It was a fantastic experience and I wish it could have lasted longer. Thank you Mary!

We’re from Colorado and my daughter somehow caught the surf bug so we caught a flight and headed out to California. Girl in the Curl was highly recommended by folks at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott and we are happy they did! At the end of her two brief lessons my daughter was paddling into waves and catching them by herself! She is still beaming days following her lessons 🤩. 10/10 recommend!
